Welcome to the Small Business Generative AI Ethics Hub.

For small businesses like yours, Generative AI opens the doors to innovation and efficiency, from creating social media content to improving your customer service.

But with new technology comes new ethical challenges.

The Hub is the small business go-to resource to help you understand and adopt Generative AI ethically and responsibly in your business.

Who is this Hub for?

This Hub is designed for Small Business owners (also know as SMEs and SMBs), startup founders, managers and team leaders who are using or plan to use Generative AI and want a practical guide on how to understand and navigate the key Generative AI’s ethical challenges responsibly within their companies.

Why was this Hub developed?

The rise and rapid adoption of Generative AI has taken businesses and governments by surprise.

As governments and regulators are catching up to this new technology, there is a lack of practical resources developed specifically tailored for Small Businesses and the goal of this Hub’s guide is to help fill this gap.

Who developed this Hub?

The Small Business Generative AI Ethics Hub website and tools were developed by Maya Karanouh, a PhD Candidate at Brock University, as part of her academic doctoral research on the ethical challenges small and medium-sized business (SMEs) face in adopting Generative AI.
